Monneret de Villard is a new student residence hosted in former student accommodation that in the past belonged to Fondazione Cariplo and which FHS has renovated.
In the new residence there are 137 units with a total of 268 beds offered at affordable rents or under special agreements with a number of Milan universities. All the units include a place to study and there are various communal areas within the structure:
– study room:
– relaxation/lunch room;
– gym;
– communal kitchen;
– reception area.
The building is near to the Politecnico di Milano university and to university hospitals such as the Istituto dei Tumori and the Ospedale San Raffaele. The area is well-served by public transport (close to the mainline station and metro M2 at Lambrate) and is easy to reach by private transport due to its proximity to the Milan expressways. Its privileged location, combined with the complete renovation of the building, makes the student residence in Via Monneret de Villard ideal to meet the housing needs of out-of-town students.
The management of the student residence is entrusted to In-Domus S.r.l., a company set up by FHS to manage student residences.

An outstanding element of the initiative is the quality of the refurbishment, both from a construction point of view as well as of the interiors, the fixtures and fittings and the layout of the spaces. The restoration of the existing building achieved its objective of offering temporary, high standard housing solutions at affordable prices. Monneret today is a new benchmark for student residences in Milan. There are several different accommodation solutions available: from a single room, to a double room, right up to various solutions in apartments with one or two single or double rooms.
The student residence has been in operation since 11 September 2015.
